Ms. Hart primarily practices in the areas of bankruptcy and commercial litigation. She is Board Certified in Business Bankruptcy Law and leads the firm’s state court litigation practice, which concentrates on the defense of commercial debt collection efforts. Ms. Hart has significant court room experience, and regularly represents Chapter 11 debtors in reorganization cases and commercial borrowers and lenders in state and federal court actions. Ms. Hart is also experienced in the sale of distressed assets, financial restructurings, the workout of commercial debts, assignments for the benefit of creditors, and receiverships.
Ms. Hart was recognized by Tampa Bay Magazine in its 2016 through 2020 publications as a top lawyer in banking and finance litigation and by Super Lawyers 2018 magazine as one of the top 50 women lawyers and top 100 lawyers in the State of Florida.
Ms. Hart graduated with honors from Stetson University College of Law in 2001, where she served as the Managing Editor of the Stetson Law Review, and was the recipient of the Judge Stanley Milledge Award and the McBride Family Scholarship. Ms. Hart also served a two-year term as law clerk for the Honorable Judge K. Rodney May, United Stated Bankruptcy Judge, Middle District of Florida.
