Michael J. Hooi
Michael J. Hooi joined the firm in 2009 after completing a 2008–09 judicial clerkship at the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit, for Judge Charles R. Wilson. In 2005, Mr. Hooi graduated from Vanderbilt University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy in three years, participated in the College Scholars Program, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. In 2008, he earned a Juris Doctor degree at the University of Florida Levin College Law. While in law school, he was managing editor of the Florida Law Review, galleys editor of the Journal of Technology Law & Policy, and a member of the Jessup Moot Court team. He conducted research for the 2007 edition of Wayne R. LaFave, Jerold H. Israel, et al’s Criminal Procedure treatise. He was also a teaching assistant for the first-year legal writing courses and the business law course at the Warrington College of Business.
